Manolo Blahnik, as a lot of you without a doubt know, is known as
the Rolex of ladies footwear. Combining an incredibly high level of
workmanship with often petulant designs, Manolo Blahnik has
dominated the luxury women's footwear market place. Manolo Blahnik
boomed onto the fashion world in the 1970’s with the release of
their one-of-a-kind stiletto heels. These slim heels were a huge
departure from the big chunky platform shoes of that time. Soon
Blahnik gained a repute for a deep understanding of contemporary
movements and a genuine feeling for their customers, and what
exactly they seek in a shoe. In only a few years Manolo Blahniks had
become the most well liked shoes on the market, with consumers
clamoring to get their hands on a pair.
Now Manolo Blahnik will be arriving at a
jewelry store near you! Joining with jewelry designer, Rosa Tous, to
turn their famous heel (the Campari) into a golden charm. This charm
will hang from a gold chain and have a little diamond as the shoe's
button. The Campari or as it is more often called, Mary Jane, was
released in 1994 and feature smooth black patent leather accompanied
by a pointed toe and strap over the vamp. The Campari heels are being
sold in both 100mm and 120mm heel heights.
Judging by
Manolo Blahnik past, I would expect this new collection of jewelry
pieces to be just as lavish and highly sought-after as their shoes.
These pieces will launch in March 2011 in 300 boutiques around the
world.
